The Vision Behind my Nature Art Journaling Project... At my core, I believe that art has the power to inspire, heal, and ignite change. With this Nature Journal Project, I aim to encourage individuals from all walks of life to embrace their artistic side and deepen their connection with nature. Through the shared experience of journaling, I hope to create a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the beauty of the natural world and seek to preserve it.
So, what do I need to get started? Well, not much! that's the beauty of it! You'll need a sketchbook or notebook (blank pages are better than lined pages, as you can let you creativity run free!); You may use any medium, so perhaps a pencil, or coloured pencils, watercolours, you may want to do some sort of collage with an old magazine cuts, or even glue some fallen leaves... so a glue stick might be also necessary.
I am going to start small... I have a little sketchbook sitting around my studio as paperweight, so that's what I am going to use for this journal. I have decorated the cover with a sticker from my shop. I have chosen The White Admiral Butterfly, symbol of Quebec, since this weekend is Fete du Quebec weekend. I'll be using only stuff I have around my studio, I won't be buying anything new at this moment.
And, as my first subject, I'll be taking a exploration tour on my petite backyard. It may be small, but it's full of life. I don't have lawn, I have a clover field instead. As I am writing this, I can see some bees and clover flowers... It's a sunny lovely day today, so I'll try to thing of a quote or poetry that embodies my feelings of being here today in my backyard enjoying nature... so I'll start from there and we'll see where it goes! I'll post pictures of my process.
